Lakeland Elementary School

Vincent Van Gogh Art Exhibit

Recently the Lakeland students got the chance to appreciate famous Vincent Van Gogh paintings. The exhibit traveled to all four elementary buildings and portrayed five different paintings by Van Gogh. The students’ art teacher, Mrs. Leno, has been working with her students on the techniques of Van Gogh through critiquing his artwork and with hands-on activities. Mrs. Leno received a grant through the Coldwater Community Schools Foundation to bring the exhibit to the elementary schools. “I think that this exhibit really helped bring Vincent Van Gogh to life”, Mrs. Leno said.

    100th Day

On Tuesday February 10, Lakeland Elementary School held their annual 100th day celebration. The Students, Lakeland staff and volunteers started their day by having a 100th day breakfast. Students then continued to celebrate by having activities in their classrooms. Special thanks go out to Mr. Repszka for providing the pancakes as well as all of the other volunteers that made this celebration possible.
