Lincoln students who receive three or less checkmarks for a marking period are able to take part in our Merit Club. Those students are invited to an assembly and receive a treat. If a student is in Merit Club for all of the marking periods, they get special recognition where their parents are invited, they are given a special treat and a congratulatory certificate is mailed to their home.
Lincoln students look forward and strive to be a part of the merit club. They always seem to know when celebration time comes around, because they start asking, "When is Merit Party?" Our program is based on following Lincoln's school rules. Since the Merit Club has been in place, it has reduced the number of behavioral referrals and helped to increase student morale. Students are excited about this program, especially the ones who are invited for the first time...they are so proud of their achievement! Lincoln averages 200 students in the Merit Club each marking period.
